
Join VMARS
Membership of VMARS is open to anyone interested in any of the aims of the Society
and whose application is approved by the existing membership.There are three classes of membership:-
(a) Full members, being over the age of 18 or holding an amateur radio transmitting licence granted by any competent authority.
(b) Student members who must be under the age of 25 and in full time formal education. The annual subscription for student members is one half of the normal subscription.
(c) Family membership is offered where a full member wishes to extend Society membership to other members of their household. These additional family members have all the rights of a full member, but do not receive further copies of Society publications in their own name. Family membership costs 25% of the full UK rate for each additional person.

These are the annual rates, and apply from 1st January. If you join after 1st July, then half these rates apply for the remainder of your first year. |

Student membership applies to those under age 25 in full time education. Annual subscription is one half of the normal rate. Applicants may be asked to provide suitable written confirmation of age, details of where course attended, and date course ends. |

Family membership offers one full membership at the rates above, plus additional family members, each charged at an extra 25% of the UK subscription. Only one copy of our publications will be sent to the address of the full member. |

Reduced |
Generally the same as the student rates, but negotiable with the Membership Secretary. |
People suffering severe financial hardship (e.g. in receipt of means-tested benefit) may be eligible for a reduced subscription. If you apply you may be asked to provide suitable written proof of your financial status, and on subsequent renewals, further evidence that eligibility for this concession continues. Confidentiality will be observed on a need-to-know basis. |
